Happy Scorpio Season! I’m a Scorpio moon and I’ve been feeling ALL the big emotions lately.
We’re getting very close to the launch of The Power Within: Somatic & Spiritual Stories of Resilience. (Watch this space: I’ll have a link to buy up on the blog soon.).
All of these essays, mine included, are very personal and emotional. I believe many of you will see a part of yourself in many of these stories. I’ve had the honor of hearing parts of these essays and am truly in awe of the strength of these women. And while I’m so excited to have “Stories About Web Weaving”—and all of these powerful stories out in the world, I’m also feeling very vulnerable.
After a lifetime of being told to shrink myself or stay in the shadows so others can shine, being seen is a little terrifying. Writing “Stories About Web Weaving” unlocked the door to a room I had tried desperately to keep shut for most of my adult life.
The last several weeks have been very raw and emotional. I’ve cried more in the last eight weeks than I have in years. But for as huge and heavy as the emotions have been, I’m finally feeling free. Finally in a place where I am at peace and see the past as my history, not my identity.
I am grateful to Nicole, my friend, coach, and hype woman, for this opportunity to finally give light and air to wounds that have waited decades to be healed.
