Thank goodness they weren't nuclear fuel rods or daggers or something Really Dangerous

This morning, after opening the contact lens case, I managed to send the cover
for the left side flying into the litter box. I ignored it for the moment and
put in the left contact. Then I put in the right lens, only to have it fly
right back out of my eye and land God knows where. I sighed and decided to just
get a new set of lenses out, so I took the left lens out of my eye only to drop
that too (I don't know where it landed, either).

Thankfully, I managed to get the new pair of lenses installed without incident.
More astonishing is that I got through that whole thing without one of my
"Donald Duck" temper tantrums! Must be all that "mindful breathing" I've been
trying to do lately.
